About this book
"It's my hormones" — many people feel their thyroid, PCOS, blood sugar or stress is working against every effort to eat well and train. Sometimes that's true. Often, the internet has made it far more confusing than it needs to be.
This book explains how key hormones work — insulin, thyroid hormones, cortisol, oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone — and what nutrition, exercise, sleep and stress management can realistically do for each. It covers insulin resistance and prediabetes (very common in India), PCOS, hypothyroidism, stress and cortisol, menopause, and men's hormonal health, with practical Indian meal plans and myth-busting throughout.
Clear science. Realistic expectations. Practical plates.
Educational guide. It supports — never replaces — care from your doctor, and contains no doses, cycles or sources.

Hormones in Plain Language
Hormones are chemical messengers released by glands into the bloodstream, carrying signals to organs and tissues. They control metabolism, growth, reproduction, mood, sleep, appetite and how the body stores and uses energy.

What food can and can't do
Food, exercise, sleep and stress management can strongly influence insulin sensitivity, body weight and some hormonal symptoms. They can't cure an underactive thyroid, replace medication for diabetes when it's needed, or "balance hormones" in the vague way marketing promises.
Be wary of anyone who sells "hormone-balancing" teas, detoxes or diets. Real hormonal conditions need real diagnosis — and the best lifestyle strategies are usually simple.
Insulin and Blood Sugar
After a meal, carbohydrates are digested into glucose, which enters the bloodstream. Insulin helps move glucose into muscle, liver and fat cells. When cells respond poorly to insulin — insulin resistance — the pancreas must produce more, and blood sugar may gradually rise.
The book continues for 55 pages across 19 chapters.
