About this book

Most diets don't fail at the gym. They fail at 9 p.m. on a Wednesday, when you're tired, hungry and there's nothing ready to eat.

This book is a complete system for preparing a week of healthy, high-protein Indian food in about two hours. It covers planning, shopping, a step-by-step Sunday workflow, storage and food safety, office-friendly lunches, and twelve weeks of rotating menus — for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.

Built for people with long workdays, commutes and families, who still want to look and feel their best.

Chapter 1

Why Meal Prep Works

Willpower is weakest when you are tired and hungry. Meal prep moves food decisions to a moment when you're calm, rested and thinking clearly — usually a weekend morning.

What meal prep does for you

• Removes daily decisions. Lunch is already in a box.

• Controls portions. You portion once rather than guessing at every meal.

• Saves money. Cooking in bulk is cheaper than ordering in.

• Saves time. Two hours on Sunday replaces 30–60 minutes every weekday.

• Protects your goals. Protein targets are easy to hit when the protein is already cooked.

You don't rise to the level of your goals; you fall to the level of what's in your fridge.

What meal prep isn't

It isn't eating bland chicken and broccoli from plastic boxes seven days a week. Good meal prep means preparing components — proteins, grains, vegetables, sauces — and combining them differently through the week.

The Component Method

Instead of cooking seven identical meals, prepare four to six components and assemble varied meals from them.

The book continues for 58 pages across 24 chapters.
